Every week, Buro. selects the best new music of the week so you don’t have to deal with the white noise.
An Evening With Silk Sonic by Silk Sonic
Ever since their debut single Leave The Door Open, fans have been eagerly waiting for the R&B superduo to drop their first album. And at last, An Evening With Silk Sonic is here. Get ready for some smooth retro vibes, and special collaborations with stars in the vein of Bootsy Collins. With funny punchlines and lush harmonies, you really see the effort singer songwriters Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak pour into their craft.
All Too Well (Sad Girl Autumn Version) by Taylor Swift
While the world was still reeling from the I Bet You Think About Me music video, Taylor Swift decided to drop a stripped back and raw version of her 10 minute hit. As if the short film wasn’t enough to make even the most put-together Swiftie tear up. It’s safe to say that we just found our next soundtrack to play for long rainy bus rides.
At Least I Had You by JJ Lin and Gentle Bones
#Supportlocal and plug in to the most epic collaboration between two beloved Singaporean singer-songwriters: JJ Lin and Gentle Bones. The new track is titled At Least I Had You, and serves as Gentle Bones’ final collaboration of the year. The local artists question our existence in a world filled with confusion and insecurities within the track, but also sing of gratitude and heartfelt thanks for all the things they hold precious in their hearts.
you should have said so by RRILEY
Teeming of heartache and frustration, RRILEY’s latest single takes you on an immersive audio orgasm. Written with the help of her housemates, you should have said so pours betrayal and hurt into a lilting pop song brought to new heights if you play it in Spatial Audio on Apple Music. First written early this year in January, RRILEY recorded the early drafts in her very own wardrobe and then proceeded to layer in ASMR sounds made from everyday objects into it for an added flavour. See if you can hear sounds like water ripples, keys jingling, air freshener spray in the track.
30 by Adele
Adele’s highly anticipated album, 30 is out now. With Easy On Me now well established as an earworm, we were eagerly waiting for the drop of the rest of her songs, and of course in true Adele fashion, she did not disappoint. Brimming with sustained notes and a vocal range only she can pull off, the album was filled with hard hitting lyrics and brutal honesty. A highlight though, would be I Drink Wine. Right off the bat, its title was enough to get fans excited, and we got to say, you’ll really get a taste of Adele’s best vocals there.
