With Fashion Week Men’s finally concluding for the spring/summer 2022 show season, we enter a week full of the height of luxury fashion: haute couture. And unlike ready-to-wear, Haute Couture Week showcases pieces that esteemed guests and the who’s who in high society circles can purchase immediately.

On day one of Haute Couture Week for the autumn/winter 2021 season, we kick things off with a host of big names in couture, including Dior.

What we do know about the upcoming collection is that creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri has taken inspiration from the ornately embroidered walls of the Sala dei Ricami in Rome’s Palazzo Colona. In a teaser video featuring the Dior atelier’s artisans, there’s an emphasis on embroidery and how the techniques vary. And we also see glimpses of layers of feathers, intricate embroidered fabrics, as well as floral prints done in the same tone as the Sala dei Ricami.

But for the full picture, we’d have to wait for Dior to present it all this evening.
