1. R.E.M. Beauty teases their first-ever drop.
Spoiler alert: It’s all about the eyes. While not much has been revealed about Grande’s impending makeup line, the singer-songwriter has released several campaign images highlighting “chapter one” of the brand’s products. The line-up includes liquid liners; eyeshadows (both matte and glitter); as well as mascara. No word yet as to what will follow or if the products will hit shelves anytime soon, though rumours are rife that chapter two will be all about the lips. Watch this space for more updates.

2. Ellen DeGeneres is launching a skincare line.
Ironically titled Kind Science, for that matter. This comes after a bevy of bullying allegations, with many ex-employees coming forward to accuse the talk show host of fostering a toxic work environment. DeGeneres, however, has clarified that the word ‘kind’ in her label is credited to the fact that her offerings are kind to animals, skin, the planet, and “your wallet”. Sure. Packaging is also said to be recyclable whenever possible, and is free of “dyes, fragrances, and harsh chemicals known to cause irritation.” See for yourself once the goods are available 26 October.

3. Halsey shares a series of realistic post-pregnancy photos on Instagram.
The decision to do so came after Halsey received a truckload of praise following her performance on Saturday Night Live. The singer and producer was gracious about the positive feedback, but was also quick to point out that “the body behind all those compliments the other night was wearing a custom tailored outfit and lighted perfectly after much testing.” She then went on to clarify: “I do not want to feed the Illusion that you’re meant to feel and look ‘great’ immediately postpartum. That is not my narrative currently. If you’ve been following me because you’re also a parent and you dig what I’m doing, please know I’m in your corner.” Kudos all around, we say.

4. The latest TikTok trend has MUAs using lube as makeup primer.
No, seriously. #lubeprimer has garnered seven million views on the app since, with influencers gushing over its “dewy” and “gripping” capabilities. The general consensus is that the silicone within the product helps fill out pores, thus helping users create a smooth, even canvas. Skincare guru, Hyram, even chimed in as to its efficacy, stating: “First I was thinking about the ingredients, like are they going to destroy your skin?” he said. “But, if they’re going to be shoved up there where the sun doesn’t shine then the ingredients probably aren’t too shabby.” Makes sense…?

5. Lena Dunham retaliates against body shaming comments.
The drama commenced after Vogue shared a series of Dunham’s wedding photos. “I took a peek, and saw some gnarly shit, most not worth responding to or even sharing with you,” she wrote in a caption via Instagram. Most of the comments insinuated that she “should somehow be ashamed” because her body has changed since she was last on television. “When will we learn to stop equating thinness with health/happiness?” she states. “Of course weight loss can be the result of positive change in habits, but guess what? So can weight gain.” Her post quickly garnered support from celebrities in the vein of Lily Collins and Amy Schumer.

6. Kylie Cosmetics has launched a limited edition collection with A Nightmare on Elm Street.
The drop was commemorated with a blood-splattered photoshoot reminiscent of cult-classic horror film, Carrie. According to Kardashian-Jenner, the full range comprises a 12-pan eyeshadow palette; three lip shine lacquers; two lip cheek jelly stains; and a set of falsies dubbed Kylashes. Get your paws on ‘em, stat.
