Team U.S.A.It is with a full heart that we see the return of The Met Gala in 2021. As with other large-scale events such as the Olympics, the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute Benefit was delayed thanks to COVID-19; a staggering blow to the fashion and beauty community who were already deprived of some much-needed grandeur amidst a pandemic. Thankfully, the aforementioned occasion has made a triumphant comeback in full-force. This year’s interpretation of “In America: A Lexicon of Fashion” saw pearl accents abound; diamanté embellishments; and even, uh, zombie-inspired contact lenses, if you can believe it.
