Back again for its 14th year, Perspective Film Festival explores mind-blowing moments in film that just makes you go “What the?”. Running from 21 to 31 October, the festival will be screening nine carefully curated films in a hybrid format. Never truly been into film festivals? Well this may be a fantastic stepping stone into the wonderful sphere. The team has put together a lineup that caters to a diverse audience—from documentary lovers, to musical geeks, to dramatic film fanatics. There’ll definitely be something that will catch your fancy.

VISIT | Japan Rail Fair
Though Japan may not be added into the list of countries that Singapore has a VTL with, you can still savour a little of what Japan has to offer in this virtual gateway. Back for its second year following the success of its debut event, Japan Rail Cafe is hosting yet another Japan Rail Fair. We’re talking a combination of free and ticketed live programmes comprising interactive seminars and activities revolving around Japan travel, food and culture. Catch the last day of the fair on 23 October.

WATCH | SG Horticulture Show
If you missed the first leg of the show, you can still catch the last segment as it runs until to 31 October. Located at Jurong Lake Gardens, visitors will be able to enjoy displays from shows such as the Vertical Greenery Competition, which features stunning creations of 36sqm each designed by professionals from Singapore’s landscape industry. Or, you can simply seek inspiration to makeover your balcony from Balcony Garden competitions that feature the most magical garden retreats.

EAT | The Beast Southern Kitchen
